More than 125 years ago Walter Butler Howe started an insurance business in his home town of Princeton, New Jersey. He believed that he could succeed by providing his clients with professional courteous insurance advice and products. His legacy is the success we enjoy today, earned by continuing a commitment to provide outstanding service in all aspects of our business. From a one-man operation in 1885, Howe Insurance Group has grown into a large regional insurance agency serving thousands of clients from offices in Princeton, New Jersey, and Little Silver, New Jersey.

We have staff members who specialize in personal insurance, commercial insurance, group benefits, and life and health insurance. Howe’s management averages more than twenty-five years’ experience in the insurance industry, and our service staff averages more than ten years’ experience. Our clients range from individuals and families to foreign governments, from large institutions, foundations, and municipalities to medium sized contractors, manufactures and consulting firms to small artisan contractors, one person consulting firms, and single site retail stores and restaurants. We believe we can find a good solution for any individual or business. We welcome the challenges posed by insuring unique exposures.

Although Howe Insurance Group is licensed in more than 25 States and has clients throughout the country, the majority of our clients can be found in Central New Jersey. Most of our clients are located in Mercer, Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex and Monmouth Counties.
